Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda is an Filipino musician/singer, rose to notoriety in the Philippines in the 1890s. He was also the lead singer of the American rock group Journey in 2007. Arnel is 54 years old as of 2021. He was born Arnel Campaner Pineda on the 5th of September 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. His birthday is celebrated on the 5th of September every year. His family was left with financial burdens following the loss of his mother. His father, who was behind by six months on his rent and unable to provide for his family's needs decided to approach his relatives to help Arnel's siblings. Arnel was born in Tondo, Manila at St. Jude Thaddeus Diagnostic Center. His mother urged Arnel to sing when as a child. His parents signed him up for various singing contests. His mother passed away from heart disease when she was 13. The death of his mother occurred in February 2006. After her death his family was financially devastated. His father, who was in debt for six months and was unable to provide for the needs of his family decided to approach his family members to adopt Arnel. Arnel has three sisters and three brothers: Roderick Pineda; Joselito Pinda; and Russmon Peda. Arnel realized the severity of his situation and decided to leave school to help ease the burden of his father. Arnel was forced to spend nearly two years sleeping in the streets. He slept anywhere he could at parks, in the streets, and on the narrow benches of homes. He collected newspapers and glass bottles and then sold them to recyclers. Arnel also did odd jobs like cleaning scrap metal or docking ships. Cherry Pineda and Arnel are married. The couple was married in the year 2001. Together, they have been blessed with two children: a daughter (Thea Chenelle Pineda) and one son (Cherub). Arnel also has Matthew and Angelo the two older sons.
