Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in
Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a
actor in the theatre, writer, director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her
mother, as well as an actress. Her older brothers are Dana Wood, a musician, as
well as Ira David Wood IV, who has also performed. Evan and her brothers acted
in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh which is where her father is the executive
director. When she was five, she auditioned to play the character of Interview
with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). In the year 1996, she moved to
Los Angeles along with her brother Ira and mother. She has been a prominent
character in TV shows film, feature films, and television movies since. She
starred as Tracy in Practical Magic (1998) and S1m0ne (2002, Al Pacino's
child). Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). Her breakthrough
performance in the role of Tracy on "Thirteen" was rewarded with a
Golden Globes nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She was
the youngest actress to have been nominated for a Leading Role award at the
time. In her role as Veda Pierce in the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce (2011)
which she starred in, she was awarded an Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
Acclaim was also given to her performance as Stephanie (Mickey Rourke's
estranged daughter) in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler (2008). Sara Wood and
Ira David Wood III are her parents. Ira David Wood III's younger sister. She is
a certified dancer. She loves to dance, sing, rollblade, and horseback ride.
She is black belt in tae kwon do. She's been in contact most of her Once and
Again (1999) Castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
