Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey is an African-American
author, but is most well-known as the ex-wife of comedic legend and TV host,
Steve Harvey. Marcia Harvey lives a private life, preferring to stay out of
being a target for the media. Steve has not been able to enjoy the fame he is
now enjoying, but they had been married for 14 years. The exact reasons for the
couple's separation were never known and rumors were always heard throughout
Hollywood. Some attribute it to Steve Harvey's cheating ways as well as others
to his decision to choose the path of a different kind, like comedy. Steve
Harvey dispersed her from his two daughters when she was pregnant with their
third child, causing her to be devastated. Despite her struggles, she has made
an impressive career out of fashion design and also in writing. She is the
writer of "Marcia's eyes To The Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and
Marcia's Thoughts From The Heart. The kindness of her character has become an
inspiration to her children. Marcia Harvey was raised in an African-American
home and has a poor financial situation. She started working at a department
store named "Saks Fifth Avenue'. Steve met her at a reception party with a
friend who was a few years later. They fell in love and were married in the year
1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman that time and the couple was
blessed with twin daughters in 1982. Steve started to feel depressed at his job
and began to consider a career in entertainment. He wanted to become a stand-up
comic. Marcia and Steve had plenty of conflict and reports later suggested that
they were starting to live apart. Marcia Harvey's fame came primarily from her
marriage to Steve Harvey, and their divorce. Although divorce proceedings for
Steve Harvey in 1994 were kept under wraps but it's evident that Marcia Harvey
was pregnant with their third child when they fell apart. Marcia was finally
able to file for divorce in 1993. Marcia needed to appear before the law
following her divorce as well as Steve Harvey's rejection of child support and
alimony payments.
